Rams keep Jimmy Garoppolo on a one-year deal

Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports that veting as a quarterrier agreed to stay in place with the RAMs, on a one-year contract.

Garoppolo, a second round of the Patriots in 2014, became the starter of the 49ers via the trade in 2017.

Timing suggests two things. First, Groppolo had no vible options to start. Second, the RAMs clearly indicated that if it did not take the offer, they should move on to another option to be the no. 2 option behind Matthew Stafford.
